Maglaj Castle: a story through pictures and captions

The walkway in.

Yes, indeed, I tried to scale the walls. And when
the first stone pulled out in my hands, and I
gently replaced it, I left the wall climbing to my imagination.

You may enter.

So the regular, paved, two lane fast road was closed, and we
were detoured onto this dirt road. It was one of those
moments when we asked, "Where the hell are we?"

So once again, I enter the tower, and someone calls up,
"Just what do you think you are doing?" Actually, she was
the one who opened the door at the bottom, pointed and
suggested I check to see what was at the top. Smart woman.
Let the moron climb the rickety stairs.
This is what I have dreamed about my whole life. A road. A castle. Fall leaves.

So we arrive, and some of my students are already there!
They said they were looking for blue dragon eggs.
I noticed there must be hidden tunnels under the walls and told them
to try to sneak between some window bars to prove it. Their
parents stepped in, and none of us got what we wanted.
