Summer in Colorado

We spent a total of 22 days in Colorado this summer with friends and family. After being away for 10 months returning was a lot of fun. I want to apologize at the beginning of this blog to anyone we leave out. I also want to thank everyone that was willing to put up with us in their home, feeding us, entertaining us, and enjoying our presence. We had a great summer!

During our stay in Colorado we visited with so many friends and shared so many stories with one another it seemed like we didn't get enough time with everyone. Zack got to meet up with graduated students he taught years ago, I got to meet up with my favorite old co-workers, we saw our neices and nephews, friends and family.

We weren't able to go camping but we hiked Mount Evans or, rather, drove to the parking lot and hiked the few hundred feet to the top. It was perfect!

We were able to eat sushi with our friend Heather and celebrate her birthday. This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Colorado.

Delicious!

This was a great meal!

I am realizing while writing this blog entry that we did not take a lot of pictures. I guess next summer we will have to take more pictures.

Some of our most memorable times were sitting outside at our B&B, aka Heather and Travis' house, talking and laughing with friends, and also listening to Mel and her band play great music at various venues.  I enjoyed being able to go shopping at Target of all places since Sarajevo or anywhere near Sarajevo doesn't have Target. Going to the new IKEA was fun as well. That store is amazing and I felt like I could spend hours there without realizing how much time I had spent. Playing PS 3 with Scott, Jeff, Zack, and Sara was a lot of fun. Going to the movie theater was fun too, but 12 dollars for a ticket is crazy when we pay eight dollars for a ticket and popcorn and a drink in Sarajevo. Zack enjoyed going to Hops for Humanity with Colby, Scott and other guys. More shopping for me. We also enjoyed the great party that Zack's mom put together for us to visit with family and friends. It was a great way for us to visit with several people in one place. I am sure there are other great times that we had, but if I were to list all of them you would be reading for days.

Here are some random pictures from our time in Colorado. Please don't think we don't like you if you aren't in our pictures, but we didn't take as many pictures as I thought.

See you next summer!
